The list of top women in safety was developed by Canadian Occupational Safety (COS), the premier publication on occupational health and safety (OHS) in Canada for more than 60 years. COS sent out a call for nominations, and asked nominators to consider the following: why they thought the person that they nominated was a woman of influence; how the nominee has contributed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the health and safety sector; and any additional details on why this person should be considered for the distinction. After reviewing hundreds of nominations, the publication’s research teams and with reader input selected 40 women to receive the distinction of top women in safety.

We celebrate Ms. Rose and the other winners for all they do to pave the way to safer and healthier workplaces.
