CWB Welding Foundation provides funds for LAUNCH PAD welding program

Hanover, ON  July 5, 2017 – The CWB Welding Foundation partnered with LAUNCH PAD to help fund a welding program at the youth activity and skills development centre in Hanover, ON.

The CWB Welding Foundation provided $50,000 to create a welding space that features new welding equipment and ventilation systems. In addition, LAUNCH PAD will host three Mind over Metal welding camps this summer to engage youth about the great career options in the welding profession.

“LAUNCH PAD is a tremendous community centric organization and they do great things for the youth in the community. The youth who visit the centre will now have an opportunity to explore what welding is all about while using brand new equipment. It’s been a pleasure working with them and I look forward to further build upon our relationship,” said Deborah Mates, Executive Director of the CWB Welding Foundation.

Jacinda Rudolph, Executive Director of LAUNCH PAD, said the new welding space will provide a great experience for the youth who attend the centre.

“This is wonderful. The youth will experience something they never had before that could provide them with an interest to get into the welding profession,” she said. “There are so many great career opportunities in welding, and engaging the youth is the first step. Everyone at LAUNCH PAD is ecstatic about the partnership with the CWB Welding Foundation because their help is going to inspire many youth for many years to come.”
