Congratulations to John Marinucci, Chair of the CWB Welding Foundation Board of Directors

On behalf of the CWB Welding Foundation team, I would like to congratulate John Marinucci, Chair of the CWB Welding Foundation Board of Directors and past Chairperson of the CWB Group Board of Directors, on his receipt of the Fellow (FCPA) distinction by CPA Ontario.

FCPA is the highest distinction that can be bestowed upon a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). It is a special honour that recognizes the value that the member has brought to the profession through significant career achievements and contributions to the community.

Mr. Marinucci, FCPA, CA, ICD.D, H.R.C.C.C, joined the CWB Welding Foundation as Chair in 2018, and was Chairperson of the CWB Group Board from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Marinucci joined the NFI Group as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2002 and retired as an Executive Officer of the Company at the beginning of 2009. Mr. Marinucci is also a Director of the NFI Group and Intelgenx Corporation.

Mr. Marinucci’s career includes roles as Governor and Chairperson of Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario; Director of SMTC Corporation; Director of Advance Engineered Products Ltd.; President and Chief Operating Officer for a major Canadian manufacturer and lessor of freight railcars; and President of the Canadian Association of Railway Suppliers. Mr. Marinucci is also the Founder and Chairman of the Marinucci Family Foundation, a registered charity focused on funding education, live arts, and proactive healthcare initiatives. Through the Marinucci Family Foundation and CWB Welding Foundation Award, 11 schools across Canada are benefitting from a 10-year, $55,000 annual pledge to enhance their welding education programs and facilities.

Mr. Marinucci is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant, and he holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University. He is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and a graduate of the Directors Education Program.
