The CWB Welding Foundation is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2020-2021 season.

Capital Equipment and Consumables Fund

The Capital Equipment and Consumables fund supports the advancement of welding programs by ensuring safe, high-quality equipment and learning environments are available to students. Learn more about the program and submit an application online here.

Mind Over Metal Camps

Targeted for youth ages 12-15, Mind Over Metal Camps, developed by CWB Welding Foundation, are changing the perceptions held by youth and their parents about welding and careers in welding. Learn about the application process and submit your application online here.

Arx and Sparx Camps

Arx and Sparx Camps deliver a week-long camp to introduce Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth, aged 11-17 years old, to the welding trade. The camps are developed and facilitated by the CWB Welding Foundation and funded by LNG Canada and CGL. More information coming soon!

Women of Steel (WOS) – Introduction to Welding Program

This program aims to support women in welding through foundational training and mentorship. WOS Forging New Opportunities: Introduction to Welding Program (IWP) is a structured 30-hour pilot course funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Skilled Trades Awareness and Readiness Program. We are honoured to support students across Canada with their post-secondary welding education through a number of awards. Learn more here.

National Welding Educators Conference Attendee Support Fund

This award provides financial assistance for costs incurred by secondary and post-secondary school educators when attending the Annual Welding Educators Conference. The conference is a great opportunity for professional development, continuing education, and peer to peer collaboration with fellow educators, the CWB Group and the CWB Welding Foundation. Learn more and apply here.

Educator Training – Professional Development: Train the Trainer Workshops

CWB Welding Foundation with our partners in CWB Group offer Train the Trainer workshops as 2- to 3-day professional development sessions to metalwork and welding teachers in secondary schools across Canada. Learn more and submit an expression of interest here.
