As you may have already heard, we, along with our partners at the CWB Group, have made the difficult decision to postpone the Annual Welding Educators Conference, which had been scheduled for May 25-27 in Vancouver, BC. This is disappointing news, but the right decision to make.
As a consequence, the bursary we offer to educators to attend the conference will be canceled this year.
We will be working with our colleagues to host alternative online professional development and networking events for educators later this year. As we develop our plans for those events, we will also consider if a bursary will make it easier for educators to participate in online learning, and what that might look like. We are also investigating opportunities to provide professional development to educators in both official languages. Stay tuned for more to come.
The CWB Welding Foundation is proud to support welding educators in their professional development. We look forward to being part of your continuing education with this and other learning opportunities to come.
